Japan Travel Enlightened needed a brand-new, membership-gated Webflow site built for B2B travel operators — a CMS-heavy build spanning Experiences, Itineraries, Local Areas, and Regions. On top of the build itself, the client had years of existing travel guides and destination PDFs that needed to become structured CMS content, without the team manually re-typing every item by hand.
We designed the brand and built the membership site on Webflow, then built a custom automation to handle the content migration: the client drops their PDFs and travel guides into a folder, the automation extracts the relevant data, and stages it in a spreadsheet for a quick human check. Once approved, each item is pushed automatically into the correct Webflow CMS collection, including linking it to the right connected category and region items.
The automation took 115 items — 52 Experiences, 12 complete itineraries, 38 Local Areas, and 13 Regions — from raw PDF to a reviewed, live CMS entry. Cutting per-item time from an estimated 15-20 minutes of manual extraction down to about 5 minutes of review cut processing time by roughly 70%, saving an estimated 24 hours of team time getting the site's content live.
